This is a delicious way to enjoy the all the benefits of cocoa, such as:

Polyphenols are naturally occurring antioxidants found in foods like fruits, vegetables and tea, chocolate. They have been linked to numerous health benefits, including reduced inflammation, better blood flow, lower blood pressure and improved cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

Cocoa is one of the richest sources of polyphenols. It’s especially abundant in flavanols, which have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects

INGREDIENTSn

  • 1 cup oats
  • n

  • 1 cup plant milk
  • n

  • 1 cup water
  • n

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • n

  • Juice and zest of an orange
  • n

  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • n

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • n

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • n

  • (Optional) Dark chocolate
  • n

METHOD

    n

  1. Add all ingredients (minus the toppings) to a pan, and continuously stir over a low heat.
  2. n

  3. Keep stirring the oats over low heat until all the liquid is absorbed.
  4. n

  5. Pour into a bowl, sprinkle over some zest, a few blocks of chocolate or cocoa powder, and dive in!
